Hello back!
Wishing you all an amazing new year full of health, happiness, peace and success! As it always has been, this New Year’s Eve was so intense for me. Every year, at this times, we have final exams at university and some extra assignments or project works. This year, we’re having online education but still the requirements are the same or even much more than ever since every instructor asks you to complete a whole research, a project or a team work. Being senior really got me tired and occupied. Even in my free times, I feel that my brain is still processing some data at the background.
Anyways, let’s get back to our topic! First of all it may be beneficial to remind you all that this is the second week of our group work and everything is going well. We decided what we wanted to do last week by setting a meeting and this week was supposed to be our individual research week within the scope of our individual topics that we discussed upon a week before. That is why we didn’t set any meetings for this week but we were always in touch with the help of our WhatsApp group.
Personally I would be very honest with you all that I only did a quick research about my topic as to which articles I should be reading. I searched for some really good pieces of information and of course I was pretty cautious about the reliability of the information that I was seeking for.
I was more or less familiar with my topic so it was not that hard to find some sources of information. I was planning to write a paper with the title of ‘The Idea of a Global Language’. No matter how widely accepted, there still are many ELT pre-service teachers or even teachers who are teaching to bunch of students and unaware of this phenomena. Raising awareness is always a need, am I wrong?
